Whether you live in a condo or a basement, we have the right drum set for you. Drums come in different sizes and configurations to suite your surroundings and preferred genre of music. While learning in your lessons, you will be using Acoustic Drums, and to practice at home you can choose to rent or purchase your own set of practice pads or full drum set which we carry in electric and acoustic.
Drum Sticks
There are many variety of drum sticks that can perform in different type of music. Heavy sticks will project more volume and better durability while lighter sticks will be easier to handle and better situations where finesse is required in. Drum sticks are made from different type of wood for different effects. Hickory is common material that is great at absorbing shock which is reliable and consistent. Oak is more dense and provide high durability while providing great rebound. Maple’s lightweight feature allows complex pattern practice more easier and it is ideal for fast playing because of the flexible wood. The tip are either Nylon or Wood which provide different characteristics such as wood tip producing deep and traditional sound found in Jazz or Rock. Nylon Tips maintain more consistent sound than wood. You can find Vic Firth and Zildjian drum sticks at your nearest school.
